Antique Sofa from 1900's

Hi, I inherited this piece of furniture and was told it is a American made settee from the early 1900's. Could someone please tell me if what I have been told is true? I really have no place in my home for it and would like to try and sell it. I really need to know for sure what I have before I try to sell it. Thanks
