Antique walnut dresser

I recently bought this dresser from an antique mall for my guess room. I was told that the dresser was an Eastlake, but I don't think is a true Eastlake since it has many curves. The seller told me it was of Empire style. I just don't see that either. I think that Empire style furniture is heavy and doesn't have carvings. The lady that sold it to me said it came from New York. I would like to find out the style because I would love to find a night stand and a bed that would go with it. I paid $360. Is that fair? Thanks a lot.
