Can't find this coffee table anywhere. Maker? Worth Restoring? Value? Rare?

Leather top with leather top end extensions
A friend of mine recently found this coffee table in an old barn and approached me inquiring if it was worth restoring. I've researched and scoured the web to no avail.
There are similar tables, but not this table. I remember seeing them occasionally as a child, but that was then. It is made of mahogany with pedestal legs and lyre/harp? base. It has a leather table top with pull out end extensions, also with leather inlay. I pulled the top leather off and it was stamped "EAGLE OTTAWA AUG1952".
This company quit making furniture leather over 40 years ago and was unable to assist me with any info. So, I can assume the table was made early 1950.
The picture and description will hopefully be enough for someone to help me identify it and whether it would worth restoring. I would have added more pictures, but seems I can only add one.
Would love to hear from anyone with any information on this table. Thanks so much
