Chest History

Antique Chest

My wife and I would like to learn the history behind this chest. Her Grandmother owned it and has since then been handed down to her. Unfortunately the history is unknown. There does not seem to be any identifying dates or names on the chest. If anyone can estimate the age or recognize any characteristics, please reply. Thank you
