Dearborn company, Bookend table

Bookend table

Bookend table

This bookend table was passed down for at least 3 generations. I would like to know just how old it is and if it has any value. It has a sticker on the bottom that says "Dearborn company" and has an address of "666 N Lakeshore Dr., Chicago". Any information would be appreciated.

found a tiny bit more info...
by: Brandi

So in the course of my searching, I've found out that 666 Lakeshore Drive was home to "American Furniture Mart" starting in the late 1920s. The building itself is historic, as at the time, it was the world's largest building! I've also found a few other people searching this address who had furniture from a number of different companies. I believe that American Furniture Mart was kind of like a retail outlet, that sold local furniture made by many different manufacturers.

Also looking for info on Dearborn Company furniture...

I am also trying to find out about Dearborn Company, (666 Lakeshore Dr., Chicago). I have a wooden (maple?) kitchen table that has been handed down to me from my great-grandma. Any info would be helpful. The model number on the tag underneath the table is 5372-4L and also has the number 81 written on the bottom in black grease pencil...Thanks for your time!

want to know about Dearborn
by: Marla

I have a dining table, hutch, and small table that are also from the Dearborn Co. (same address you mention) and I can't find a thing online about this furniture or the Dearborn Company. These pieces were handed down to me. Would appreciate any info. Thanks
