Family Heirloom - Need help to identify

This antique server?? has recently been passed to me from my Aunt who passed on aged 95. It came from England to Australia. It is in need of some TLC and restoration as some of the turned pieces are broken and the wood needs repolishing. Do not know what period it is or the type of wood used. Would appreciate any help to identify it and whether it is worthwhile restoring to original condition. Thanking your readers in anticipation of their expertise. Pam.
