Furniture Maker/Style Help

I purchased this dining table. The guy I bought it from said that his friend's family had it in their cabin for years, he got it from them and had it for about 25 years. I noticed this "mark" on the very top of the pedestal.

Would like to know if anyone knows a maker that may be associated with this type of mark. I would also be interested in an idea of what style or era the table could be from.

It seems to be mostly oak. The base splits when the 3rd and 4th leaves are added.
