George J. Lippert LTD Kitchener, Ontario

by Carla Weaver
(New Brunswick, Canada)

I am not sure if this is the place to do this? but if someone could help I would be so appreciative. My father in law recently purchased a table that has a label on it that says
George J. Lippert LTD Kitchener, Ontario and the number 671. The table is solid walnut. Could someone give me any kind of information on this? Or lead me to where someone can answer this question.

Carla.

My Grangfathers94/Fathers Tobacco Stand
by: Mark Philip Waters

We always called it a Tobacco Stand Great Poppa would pull out the drawer stuff his pipe and strike a match on it i just cleaned it up to put in his room at the home. This is when I saw the taped label underneath George J Lippert Limited #180 Solid Oak, where is George J Lippert Limited today? Must been gone I'd imagine but any assistance as to the Company and it's history would be appreciated.

Bedroom set
by: Anonymous

I have a 4 poster pineapple bed and the matching ladies dresser with mirror, I perched them some time ago at an auction and on the back they have the name George J Lippert Limited. The number on the back is 854 / no 3. I am moving to a smaller house and would like to know the value so I will get a fair price when I take them to the auction. hallakath@yahoo.com

Secretary
by: John K

My mother had, and I now have a secretary in dark finish which has a label "George J Lippert, Kitchener, Ontario, No 931, Solid Walnut Top. I was informed that the pinapple motif carved into the top was a desireable feature. The finish is original but it getting cracked. It has been out west (Calgary) for more than 50 years. If anyone has any information about the age and value, I would be interested.

Lippert coffee table
by: Blaise

Info required about Lippert coffee table that I have. It has two glass trays which fit into the front of the table. I believe the table is made of Birdseye maple. The original label is stillon the bottom of the tale along with a number stamped into the wood in two places

Also have a George Lippert
by: RR from Michigan

I do not have any information to offer but that I also have George Lippert furniture. Ours is a craftsman oak dining room set (table with leaves, 6 chairs and a sideboard). The tag on the table said George Lippert, but some time ago was torn off by one of my children so I don't know any more. I have been told that the set was given to my great-grandparents as a wedding gift from their parents. They lived in Hamilton, Ontario, and I do have some old photographs of the set from my grandparents' wedding in 1935, and one I think that was earlier than that. They must have felt it was valuable at the time to have photographed it. I am also interested in any information.Thanks.

Lippert Furniture
by: Veronica

Yes, if there is a way to email a picture of the label, my dad could probably help decifer it, his dad owned Lippert furniture in Kitchener, and he worked there. I'm looking for pieces of any Lippert furniture, I believe it is from the 1920's - 30's but not sure.
Thanks,
Veronica (Lippert) Cummings
