Great Grandmas Rocking Chair

My dad had this old chair in his garage, I finally got it from him and started to strip the layers of paint off of it. I saw this old mans face carved into the chair. It is really cool looking. Would like to know more about it. I remember my Great Grandma sitting in it all the time. Good memories
