Hanover Dining Room Set

Hanover Cabinets Bench

I have a rectangular bench/stool that measures 16"W X 24"L X 15 1/2"H with a cushion on top. the top unscrews making it easy to reupholster and under the top is a stapled paper saying Hnaover Cabinet Co. to L. Dubrow and Sons in Philidephia, Pa. It looks maybe to be an art nouvous piece but I am not sure. The bottom is solid wood with a serpentine edge and is such that something could be put in the open space between the bottom and top of the bench/stool.
Does anyone have any dates on when the Hanover Cabinets Col was in operation or similar information on L. Dubrow & Sons to help date this piece? I am getting ready to paint it white with a floral seat cover if I cannot identify something that tells me I should not do that.

Bedroom Armoire

Hi, I posted earlier and I had a very nice lady get in touch with me about the armoire, Deb. I'm not sure what happened but we fell out of contact and AOL has lost a few of my e-mails so I can't contact her about the armoire.

Does anyone else have this armoire and are you willing to part with it? Please let me know and let me know what price you are thinking of.

I have a picture of the armoire, from Deb, if you are interested in seeing it.

I have my grandparent’s bedroom furniture set from 1949 or 1950. It is made up of a double bed, nightstand, woman's vanity with mirror and bench, tall dresser with 5 drawers, and short dresser with 3 drawers and a mirror. I am looking for the Armoire that came with the set (my grandfather chopped up their original years ago because it wouldn't fit through a door or window).

The set is made of mahogany or rosewood veneer that is reddish in color. There is no hardware on any of the pieces, the drawers bow out from the main frame and you pull them from below. The top corners round over on all the pieces as well. I would love to find a matching Armoire to complete the set!

yes I just picked up a dining rm piece that has the sticker on the back.. It dates that it was made in 1928...at least it looks like an 8..I would like any info on it ...6ft. long,3 drawrs,2cabinets, one each side...thanks

Hanover Bed room set (1940's)

Yes, I own an eight piece bed room set (Double bed), Great condition (Vintage 1940's). It was my father and mothers. It is equipped with two beveled mirrors, two dressers a night stand a bed a nice vanity with a stool. If anyone would care to share there input on how much it would be worth, I would appreciate it.

I have multiple pieces from a set with the same label- I sent pictures to a dealer and was told that it is 20th century art deco having very little value. Mine has been in the basement and needs some repair. He suggest that I salvage the hardware and toss it if I wasn't interested in it for restoration myself.

China Cabinet

Hello,

I have the Hanover China Cabinet with the same sticker, it appears to be made in Hanover, Pennsylvania or at the very least inspected there.

My cabinet was passed down with very little information but the date appears to be April 20th 1939 and my sticker is not in as good of shape but it is a beautiful piece.

We have a complete dining room set of a Table with two leaves, six chairs, china hutch, server, and buffet all made of berle magahony. Our set has the same sticker on it with a date of 10/17/31. We also have been unsuccessful finding out details about the company or the furniture itself.
