Help ! Am I French, Italian or Prussian?

Cabinet

I just inherited these.

My parents bought a house in Gross Point Park , MI in 1955 and this pair of cabinets was in the dining room as part of the furniture. The dining room had a table that had seating for 14. The previous owners had died and no one in their family had a room large enough for the furniture and so the house was sold with these furnishings. When my father sold the house he left the furniture behind except for these matched pair of cabinets.

The is no door knobs just skeleton keys that open them.
They have two adjustable shelves inside.
These is a pull out drawer below cabinet openings.
My mom allows kept glassware and silverware for dining room in them.

They have never been refinished . The carved legs have always been the biggest point of conversation.
