I need help determining the work on art deco chair

My neighbor has an old chair for sale. The style is Art Deco. It's an asymmetrical tufted chair with a fluted back. The scale would work well in my family room. It obviously needs recovered which I have to have done professionally. Also it doesn't feel sound in the seat when sitting but the legs seem alright and I'm thinking they are maple. Should I spend the $100 and have the work done? I love the chair for the dramatic look but don't have any experience of doing this type of thing. I don't know how much I'd end up paying to having it restored.

Help!
