Is this a European antique?

Cupboard

Hello all,

I have bought this piece on ebay for 255$ last year. I think it was a good deal and loved it right away, but I have no information about it's origin (they told me it was European?)
Can somebody help me identify this (year, style,...)
All help would be greatly appreciated!

Hall cupboard.

Hello Mary,

Yes this is European, and more specific "Flemish" (Belgium). It could be specified as a "open base hall (or court) cupboard". The lion-heads and typical geometric ornaments on the doors (Germanic) reveal it's origin. I think it's from around the late 19th century. In America, you should be able to sell this for 700-900$.

Great looking piece you have there, it sure does look like an antique to me, but have no clue from where or when. But I would have even payed double of what you payed, I'm jealous, haha!!!
