Metal stand with glass bowl attached

stand with candle in the middle

I purchased this item at a yard sale.I have no idea what it is but I know I had to have it. The metal base is about1 19" tall, the glass bowl attached is 5" high and 10" in diameter. The base is 7.5" in diameter.

I sure would like to know what it is.
