My Grandma's Antique Sofa - more than just sentimental value
This was my grandmother's sofa and I am pretty sure it was purchased in New York the early-mid 1930's (but I could be mistaken). It was originally covered in a yellow jaquard, and was recovered 20 years ago, when my mother opted for one long bench cushion instead of the original three feather-wrapped ones (alas!). The legs have seen a little bit of wear and tear, and the arms must've been smashed around by some careless movers, 'cause there are small but visible cracks in the woodwork now. However, the details in the wood are very intricate and lovely, and the piece is still quite solid.
Unfortunately, we have moved and have no room for it, anymore.
I'd like to sell it, but I'd like to get a fair price for it. I just don't know where to begin! Can you help?
