Mysterious Crest

While visiting my family, they shared with me how they recently discovered what appears to be a crest on the underside of their antique hutch or cupboard. They asked me if I could make anything of it. Unfortunately, part of the writing is missing, and all I could tell them is that it is definitely German. Do you recognize the crest or can you identifying it as the mark of a certain furniture maker? I uploaded a picture of it. Thank you for your time!
