Mystery Cabinet

I got this one for free, it has speaker holes (covered) on the side and was obviously at some point a stereo cabinet. I cannot find any identifying marks as far as a manufacturer or date or anything else to identify it. Any ideas? I think it is mahogany, but I am not sure of that either.
