National Table Company or Owen Sound Ontario

I have a dining set that has a label on the back that says it is from the National Table Company or Owen Sound Ontario. The only other thing it has is the #1541.

Can anyone tell me how one would find any other identifying info on this type of piece?
I just want to try to figure out how old it is... I am guessing maybe the 1940's but i don;t know.

I have a Solid Walnut Dining Table, 4 chairs, One Captain Chair, China Cabinet & Hutch with Labels underneath that say :National Table Co., Ltd., Owen Sound, Ont. Ltd., Canada Manufacturing of Solid Walnut Dining Suites, Radio Cabinets & Imperial Photos. With a number that looks like it was written in pencil of either 1464 or 1864 which I believe is the Model number. I put the table and chairs only on Kiji and have an offer of $100 just for the table only and is wondering if that was a fair price. If anyone knows the value I would greatly appreciate it.

What's it worth

I purches a buffet with the label National Table Company Ltd. and it is in almost perfect condition (it's a little worn in spots) but otherwise quite lovely. The number on it is 1533.

Just wondering the worth and if I should get it refinished?

We also have a National Table Co Dining Set Buffet & Hutch. It has a label that says style 1514 on all items. It can be seen on Kijiji under Antique Furniture in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.

Researching for the China Cabinet and Buffet that I have with a National Table Company sticker on the back, I found the following: The National Table Company was founded by William Hamilton Merritt Sr around 1898. The article goes on to say that Mr. Merritt Sr. passed away in 1921 and his son, of same name, began to run the company. In 1960 the company was sold to William P. Hewitt and James Ranking Brown of Hamilton. In 1982 the factories were demolished.

I just saw in an ad selling a complete dining set like mine and it says "- manufactured by renowned National Table Company of Owen Sound, Ontario (early 1900's Edwardian style, all original, solid walnut, Model#1537)"

So the number in the back is not the year but a model number.

The ad could be found on Kajiji, Calgary.

I have a complete National Table Company Dining Set with the company label in the back. My set clearly said 1944 when I bought it, the year has faded away with water.

I have a 6 piece Red Oak Dinning set from the Haris Table Factory in Owen Sound and a Wooden chair numbered #549 from the Bent Chair Factory in Owen Sound. I am thinking there are all around 1938 to 1944.

Another National Table Co. Set

I also have a dining set that I think is walnut and both the table and buffet have a National Table Co Owen Sound label but no other info. I am wondering the age of set. Does anyone know when this company was in business?
I am selling the set and would like to be able to tell the buyer. It is still in excellent condition with a bevelled mirror over the buffet and 6 chairs with the table.

My daughter just rec'd above set, on bottom of table it say "National Table Co Owen Sound" in other area of table it is stamped Jan 47........it is a dark wood and we were just wondering what type of info would be availabe or what the design of this set is called....maybe even a value of set if possible.

I am also looking for any information on my 9 piece dining room set. Made by the National Table Company Owen Sound, Ontario. Like Kari I would just like to know the age of my set. The only other information on the label of my set is "solid walnut". I would appreciate any information on this. I can send a picture of the set. Thank you.

I have seen pieces for sale online but nothing that looks like the style of her set.
