Need help identifying, dating table desk.

Had this raw, unfinished parts of a table in my basement for 20 years. It came from Indiana, I think. Decided to ask a furniture refinisher, if it was worth or could be fixed. The table top didn't seem to fit the table. What he noticed first off was the size of the solid walnut top. It measures 33"W x 24"D. The table is 29"H. Attached is the finished product minus the lock. The drawer has only 2 large dove tails.
