Need help with information on a liquor cabinet

Liquor Cabinet

Hello,

I have had this liquor cabinet for a while now and am thinking about refinishing it. This will be my first time refinishing anything. Before I start working on it, I would like to actually know something about it. Something that can guide me or provide some inspiration.

I picked it up from a couple who inherited it in an old house they bought in west Wales. No one knows anything about the bar. I like the woodwork and I do not want to mess up the colours. I do not have any idea when it was made. There is a small black disk on one of the inner doors that is stamped "guaranteed Summers production" in gold with a woodpecker/tree logo. I have spent a few days trying to research Summers but cannot find a manufacturer in the UK that matches up.

If anyone can provide any information about the piece, age, wood, general design and style. Or any information about the manufacturer, I would be very appreciative.
