Nichols & Stone co. dining chairs
by El
Hello,
I am about to purchase what seem to be very nice chairs from the 1950's according to the owner. His parents had bought a set by Nichols & Stone to match a table when they were married in the 1950's. I have picture and would like to email them to you as I can not convert them into jpeg files. i want to know if they could possibly be authentic. The man selling them says they are made of heart cherry and are very, very heavy. I am getting 4 for $135 so I think even if they are nothing more than sturdy chairs which I find attractive it is worth the money but I would really like to know what I am getting. Also is there an example of a Nichols & Stone signature at this time that you could provide me so I could try to compare it to whatever is on the chairs? - please advise.
