Old dresser in lot of stuff

Old Dresser

I recently bought this dresser in a lot of "antiques" for $50 for everything. It belonged to a grandmother who had passed away, and the family just didn't want to store it any longer. I cleaned it up some with wood oil and think it is mahogany or cherry since the wood has a slight reddish cast. The varnish is well adhered, but not in shiny condition. The pulls are brass if I'm not mistaken, there is no plywood anywhere, and the joints appear to be hand cut, with dovetail and a straight slot fitting on the drawers and mortise and tenon on other parts of the dresser. It was obviously really nice new, and has a lot of character now. I was hoping someone could tell me more about it and when it was made. I cannot find any information on the dresser itself. I was also hoping someone could tell me how to repair the two legs that were chewed on by someones pet! It has a matching canned chair, and the doors are hinged with straight-slot screws. Other places have machine-made nails that are on the small side.
