Old Rolling Desk Chair (age, brand, type of wood?)

Hi There,

I recently bought a rolling office/desk chair that seems to be quite old (possibly 1920's -late 1940's?). It's great quality, with all solid wood construction, and what looks like inlays of a burl or rosewood on the legs. Its metal parts seem to be of heavy iron, and you can twist the chair to make it higher/lower. There are also working metal springs for the backrest. I've looked all over for some kind of maker's mark, but can't find it.

I was wondering if anyone out there might know the maker of it, what kind of wood it's made of, and around what age it is?

Thanks again for any help,

-Tim
