Please help identify this Antique Rocking Chair

I found this rocking chair in a thrift store. The minute I saw it I loved it, even though it looks like it has seen better days. I had to beg my husband to buy it, he agreed only because it was $15. The chair has no markings that I can see. Can anyone tell me about this rocker?
