Primitive blanket chest
Hello,I was given this blanket chest by my cousin....She thinks it may have come over from England in the late 1790's. To me, it looks as though it's been modified over the years i.e. old padlock hardware adjacent to period locking mechanism and black paint over what appears to be sea green. Otherwise...Any thoughts on this chest? Thank you in advance! :-)
