Small Cabinet

This is a cabinet that was in my mother-in-laws house when we inherited it in 1990.There is one shelf inside and a groove along the top in back as if maybe a mirror or something use to go there? I have no idea how old it is or if it is worth anything. and I use it to store towels. It has had some wood filler used on the top.I would like to know if anyone can tell me anything about this.
