Stuart chair but any more precise?

I inherited this chair from my parents. It has caned back and seat
I love it. I know it is 17th century but I'd like to know more - is it early, mid or late Stuart period? I know furniture is often worth less than one might think, but this is such a characterful piece. I'm not planning to sell it but I'd like to know - I'm thinking I might donate it in my will to a Mediaeval and Tudor period house in Sussex which the owners are restoring as a labour of love and have opened to the public (but they are short of good, early furniture).
