Tapestry Footstool

I "inherited" this piece along with many other household items. I was able to identify much of the china, and other fine items in the grouping, but this is the only actual furniture. This tapestry foot stool/ottoman is really cute, although somewhat worn. The pattern itself is a bit "fuzzy" and the bottom of the legs have cracks. And I'm not sure but I think the fringe around the bottom should be all they way around-it's just across the front. But it is a very solid wood base with crude looking slotted screws on the bottom of the four legs. I would really like to know what this is, it's age, and what it may be worth.
