Turnidge

by Marlies
(Red Deer)

I have received a glass fronted curio cabinet with the metal label of "A Turnidge Product attached. The glass front is bowed and there is an 8 pointed asymmetrical "star" etched on the glass door front. The inside back and bottom is gold cloth or foil.

I have seen a few similar cabinets on the internet but cannot find any information about the actual manufacturer.

Does anyone have any information about Turnidge?

Cocktail cabinet
by: Bev T

Hi- I am trying to find the value of a Turnidge cocktail cabinet that belonged to my late mother and who might be interested in buying it?
It is in fair condition and stil locks-my mum loved it but sadly it does not fit in our home.
Any suggestions would be most welcome.

Brady Tableworks, W G Turnidge Ltd., Turnidge of London Ltd., Were all companies owned by ny grandfather, Mr William George Turnidge. who died in 1963. The company was then trading from 508, High Road, Leytonstone, London E11. (prior factories were in Bethnal Green and Walthamstow - both in London) The cabinet you describe sounds like one that was produced through the 1950's and if I recall correctly the "gold" cloth that you describe would have a slight floral pattern on it.

Hoping this comment has helped you

Regards Rick
