Type of wood? Brand? Age?

Hello,

I recently bought a dresser at a yard sale. I was told it was probably teak, but I was wondering if anyone could confirm that? As you can see from the pic, a piece has broken off, so it would be good to know the wood so I can try to fix it! Also, I was looking everywhere on the dresser and its drawers to find its brand name, but couldn't.

I was hoping maybe one of you out there might be able to tell me 1. What type of wood it's made of?; 2.What furniture company made it?; 3. Around what age it is?
