Victorian brass bed

Hello,
I bought this bed 20 years ago from a friend at which point she told me that it was probably worth $2000.
I saw a twin version in a store window in Manhattan that same year for $1500.
Although I have made numerous searches here and abroad I can not find any information on this particular style which I'm guessing is Victorian.
Any information concerning age/style/value of my bed would be most appreciated.
Organic patina included.
