What are they?

I have these four chairs. They came with the house I bought many years ago.

I am in the process of cleaning things out. I have held on to them because I have been told by one person they may have some worth and they are a Mission Style. Another person says they are trash.

Obviously they need work. I am afraid to "fix them up" myself as I may make a mess of them, (not knowing the proper way to repair such chairs).

Can you help me discover what type of chair they are, and how I might proceed with them?
