What period is this bedroom suite?

My father was an expert in antiques, and gave us a bedroom suite as a wedding gift. We have never been able to figure out what period it is from. It has tiger maple veneer and hand carved flourishes on the top of the headboard, and handcarved wooden appliques. It also has a beveled mirror in the dresser. Can you help?
